Welcome to the Cycle Club Weymouth website. CC Weymouth is an active, friendly club for road cyclists in Weymouth, Dorchester and the surrounding area. We run time trials, road races and club training runs. The club also hosts an email discussion list for members and supporters to arrange rides, and discuss cycling matters.

Following problems at the last Club 25, the HQ area will now be on Gatemore Road, North of the start and past the turning to Tadnoll. Please DO NOT park in the Red Lion car park.

Following the information that the A352 is going to be subject to closures after 8th September between Warmwell Cross and Owermoigne, the following changes to events will take place. The Athletes 10 will now run on the Gallows Hill course P459. The club event on 6th September will now be a 25 on the normal course and the Circuit TT at Moreton will move to 13th September. Finally the club 10 planned for 20th September will now run on P459. All other details remain unchanged.

An urgent call is going out for timekeepers, or a driver who can take Carolan out to the start of the events on 6th, 13th and 20th September. Any offers to Michelle Lindley please. Also a second timekeeper is needed for the hillclimb at Portland on Sunday 5th October.

Club nights this winter will be held on the third Tuesday of the month begining on October 21st with the AGM. Subsequent dates are 18 November, 16 December, 20 January, 17 February and 17 March. All will be held in the Menzies Room at Upwey Memorial Hall at 7pm. Please make every effort to attend this year, you have plenty of notice, and let any committee member know what you would like to see in the way of themes for the evenings. Better still, why not organise one?

A Newsletter editor is urgently required as Chris Jones, who has already struggled to find the time to produce the sheet, has indicated he will stand down at the AGM.

Entries are already coming in for the Athletes 10 on 27 September. If you can assist on the day please contact Ian Locock. Rules for this year have been amended and are available here.

A proposal to run the 5 mile TTs on the Owermoigne 10 course is to be debated at the AGM. The event on 26 August will use the Stratton course and start at 6:45pm.
