Open Events

CCW will be organising two open events this season, both over 10 miles on the Owermoigne course P451.

The first event on Saturday 26th April will be our normal Spring time trial. Entries close on Tuesday 15th April.

The second event on Saturday 27th September will be an Athletes 10. Entries for this event close on Tuesday 16th September and there are special conditions covering rides in this event. Following feedback from last year, which included a request to change the rules received between entry closure and the event date, the rules in respect of wheels have been amended:

No low-profile bikes

No tri-bars or Spinaci type bars

All wheels to have a minimum of 16 spokes and a maximum rim depth of less than 28mm

No aero helmets or head fairings of any sort

No skinsuits or overshoes

There will be a rules official in attendance who will add one minute to finishing times for each ruling breach. In the case of wheels this will be per wheel.
