P459 - 10 miles

Meeting point for club events: riders meet and sign on for races in the layby on the Worgret road just east of Gallows Hill. To allow the timekeepers to begin the race on time, all riders must have signed on at least 10 minutes before the start of the race.

Course description: START on unclassified road at warning sign 'uneven road' approx 60yds north of junction with road to Tincleton.
Proceed South to T-junction with A352 (2.22) where left along A352 eastbound to Worgret Heath where WITH CARE turn very sharp left onto unclassified road (5.81).
Proceed north-west across heath to FINISH at point 50yds east of entrance to flying club.

Course notes: P459 is generally felt to be quicker than the P451. The prevailing wind is from the south west and therefore the first mainly downhill miles are into the wind. There is then the benefit of a tail wind to the turn at Worgret, followed by a final 4 miles where riders are sheltered from the wind by the hedgerow. A very enjoyable course.
