P451/25c - 25 miles

Meeting point for events: Riders meet and sign on for races in Gatemore Road which is opposite the Red Lion public house on the A352 at Winfrith Newburgh. About half a mile north of the A352, just past the turning to Tadnoll Mill there is ample roadside parking. There is a short ride to the start back down Gatemore Road towards the A352, so to allow the time keepers to be ready to begin the race on time, all riders must have signed on at least 10 minutes before the start of the race.

Course description: START on Gatemore Road at point 50yds North of farm entrance, approx quarter mile from A352.
Proceed to A352 where left (CARE) to Burton Cross Rbt (2.05 miles).
Circle and retrace to Warmwell Cross Rbt (7.55 miles). Circle and retrace to Burton Cross Rbt (13.05 miles). Repeat to Warmwell Cross Rbt (18.55 miles) and Burton Cross Rbt (24.05 miles). Circle and retrace on A352 to FINISH 9yds past drain at bridleway approx half mile before 50 mph sign (25.00 miles).

Course notes: P451/25c is effectively two and a half laps of our normal 10 miles course. The prevailing wind is south westerly which means that invariably the uphill leg is also into the wind. Course record is held by Dave Pickering with 57:32.
