Welcome to the Cycle Club Weymouth website. CC Weymouth
is an active, friendly club for road cyclists in Weymouth, Dorchester
and the surrounding area.
There is an informal Sunday Run each week (weather permitting) starting @ 10am from next to the café in the Top O Town Car park. Everyone welcome. - For more information, and the planned route, each week click here.
– Calling all CC Weymouth members and supporters –
We will be holding our Easter P451/10 open event on Sunday 16th April at 9am.
Unlike normal club events, open events must be entered in advance (strictly no entry on the day), and the closing date is rapidly approaching (04/04/2017). You can enter this event online through the CTT website. Also, if you know anyone outside the club who may be interested, please encourage them to enter.
Open events are generally organized to a higher level than club events, with a number of prizes in different categories. There will be CTT approved timekeepers, someone to push-off, and full marshalling on the course. We have booked the Broadmayne village hall as the HQ. It has reasonable parking, toilets, and refreshments will be available throughout.
These events are often attended by a number of elite level riders, and are a good chance to get together. In the past our event has been family friendly, and being Easter Sunday, there will be Easter themed gifts for the younger supporters. As last year, there will be generous prizes for the 1st placed man and woman, as well as team, veteran and junior prizes. We will also be offering “Jackpot” prizes for anyone setting a new all-comers course record (both the men’s and women’s).
This event is CC Weymouth’s contribution to the national open event calendar. It is hoped that all club members, especially those who enjoy open events run by other clubs, will if possible participate either by entering the event, or by helping to run the event.
We still want a few more volunteers to assist with marshalling and other related tasks. No experience is necessary, and guidance will be given. To volunteer, please contact Andrew Jackson (firstname.lastname@example.org ).
The list of paid up members for the 2017 season is here.
To join or renew, paying online using a credit card or PayPal please click here. You can also join in person at Poundbury Cyclesport.
Is available from Poundbury cyclesport.
LIghts: Front and rear lights are not compulsory when riding time trials but they are highly recommended as there are places on our 10 courses when dark clothed riders can be invisible to drivers, especially in poor light.
